Top 10 reasons to RUSH PHI SIG this fall!

Banquet
This has been a phenomenal year for Phi Sig! We've tripled our chapter's size, raised thousands of dollars through a successful fund drive, assisted the greater Bloom community and had fun with it all!
  1. Our girls are the most fun and vibrant by far. They're the most welcoming and friendly (everyone says so). And they truly care about each other in a way you don't often see these days!
  2. We're growing. But we're not so large you get lost in the crowd!

  3. We have the strongest alumnae base of any sorority on campus -- and are in contact with more than 200 past sisters, many of whom have pledged to help us with our careers when the time comes.

  4. We've secured a house right off campus for the 2007-2008 school year. Best location, easiest commute!

  5. Our sorority awards tens of thousands in scholarships to sisters every year. And we have advisors committed to helping us win some of those monies.

  6. We often have one of Greek Life's highest total GPAs - proving academic excellence and fun can go together.

  8. Our advisors (yes, plural!) are truly committed to helping us succeed. They have direct ties to regional and national Phi Sigma Sigma leaders, and they help us understand the chapter's history in a way that makes it even more personally meaningful.

  9. We perform philanthropy and service projects that really matter -- and it helps us know we make a real difference in this community.

  10. We're preparing to celebrate our 20th year at Bloomsburg University in 2008. You can be a part of it!

  11. We are PHI SIG PROUD! Find out more about us on this site, or by e-mailing our Membership Recruitment Chair.

Home at last! Phi Sig moves in

New house

PHI SIG IS FINALLY AT HOME ON LIGHTSTREET! Nineteen of our women are the first tenants to move into the new, fully renovated home, leased by Joe Gushen and JAG Housing.

The house - which has been dubbed "The Castle" (largely because of the turret on the left side of the roof) - features six full bathrooms, two living rooms, two kitchen/dining rooms, air conditioning, Internet and cable access, and other great amenities.

Phi Sig warmly thanks JAG Housing for working with us to make this dream of ours a reality! Housewarmings will be announced to alumnae shortly!

World-class chapter, close to home!

award
Phi Sig proud! Left to right: Advisor Erika Hess, Archon Ashley Forsythe and Chapter Key Advisor Lisa Cellini Romero.

IT'S A FACT... PHI SIG AT BLOOM IS ONE OF THE NATION'S BEST! The Epsilon Zeta Chapter recently won several honors at the international convention of the Phi Sigma Sigma Fraternity, demonstrating outstanding achievement.
Among those awards:
  • Chapter Progress Award - bestowed upon the international chapter that has shown the most progress in a two-year period, and

  • Best Recruitment Award - recognizing the chapter's incredible growth, tripling its membership in fewer than two years.

Former Archon and Bloomsburg University NPC President Justine Walter, who was nominated for the Collegian of the Year Award, fared well in the competition and was named among the top four collegians internationally.

Additionally, Chapter Key Advisor Lisa Cellini Romero was awarded the Fraternity's prestigious "Sisterhood Award" for dedicated service. This is Phi Sigma Sigma's third highest award!

Many congrats to the sisters of Bloom Phi Sig!
